Choir Founder and Previous Conductor
Eva Gönner founded MiCapella in October 2012 while studying music education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. She led the choir for 24 semesters.
She saw her role at MiCapella primarily as familiarizing young singers with choral music from all eras and awakening their joy in rehearsing and performing it. It was equally important to her to foster friendships through choir singing that would extend across the globe.
Eva Gönner is a high school and college teacher for Music and French. She taught at high schools/colleges in Erding and Munich, in 2024 she moved to the Kreisgymnasium Riedlingen (Baden-Württemberg).
